The tech news website says the new program interprets images and audio more accurately than OpenAI’s earlier transcription mods.

It would allegedly assist customer service agents to “better understand the intonation of callers’ voices or whether they’re being sarcastic.”

The AI assistant can “theoretically” help students with math or translate real-world signs.

India Times shared more details from Altman’s interview with MIT Technology Review.

The OpenAI executive said the assistant will be your “super-competent colleague.”

It would know “every email, every conversation I’ve ever had, but it doesn’t feel like an extension.”

As a result, it can handle tasks by itself. The OpenAI event will occur on May 13, 2024, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, in the OpenAI website.
